Information Literacy Standards
The student who is information literate will be able to:
- access information efficiently and effectively.
- evaluate information critically and competently.
- use information accurately and creatively
The student who is an independent learner will be able to:
- pursue information related to personal interests.
- appreciate literature and other creative expressions of information.
- strive for excellence in information seeking and knowledge generation.
The student who is socially responsible will be able to:
- contribute positively to the learning community and to society and recognize the importance of information to a democratic society.
- contribute positively to the learning community and to society and practice ethical behavior in regard to information and information technology.
- contribute positively to the learning community and to society and participate effectively in groups to pursue and generate information.
